PhD course in Multiscale Integrative Biology
Objective:
The Ph.D. Course in Multiscale Integrative Biology (MIB) aims to train researchers and practitioners with a multidisciplinary vision and skill set capable of applying innovative experimental approaches to the study of complex biological systems.
Multiscale Perspective:
PhD students will be trained to develop a holistic perspective of the living, its evolution and relationship with the environment, acquiring the ability to study biological processes through multiscale approaches that take into account the plurality of interactions at the molecular, cellular, organism and ecosystem levels.

Departmental Integration:
The MIB PhD Course aims to integrate the individual inspirations of each degree program afferent to the Department of Biosciences (DBS) into a single track, leading to a synthesis of the multiple dimensions of biology.
Interdisciplinary Training:
The program will train researchers with interdisciplinary skills, thanks to the variety of expertise of DBS faculty active in multiple complementary areas of biology and related sciences thus enabling the conduct of cutting-edge research in the life sciences.
Main Goal:
The main goal of the MIB Ph.D. program is to provide a state-of-the-art, scientifically stimulating and attractive institutional environment that fosters scientific curiosity and ensures research freedom for both candidates and supervisors and their research groups.
